THE LOWDOWN...
Lancashire rockers Exit
State and I.C.O.N announce a 4 date joint headline UK
tour for December, marking the completion of another exciting year for both bands.
The connection and history of both bands goes back many years and this
will be the first time the fast rising bands have been on a UK tour together.
2012 has seen Exit State make many new fans as special guests on tour with
legendary ex-UFO & Scorpions guitarist Michael Schenker, including a stunning
performance at Shepherd's Bush Empire. More recently, the band opened for Reckless
Love at Manchester's Club Academy & returned for a special Halloween show
in Belgium where the increasingly warm relationship with European fans was clearly
cemented. Exit State are truly a band on the rise - A video which reached the Number
One spot on the Kerrang TV Chart Request Show, support slots with Black Spiders,
Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden/Wolfsbane), Esoterica, plus a full UK Tour with Marseille,
2 successful album releases, a tour in Finland, a festival in Belgium & performances
at Hard Rock Hell in the UK & Ibiza.
I.C.O.N have spent the past
year touring heavily in support of their critically acclaimed debut album 'NEW
BORN LIE'. In recent years, I.C.O.N has shared the stage with Diamond Head, Voodoo
Six, Blaze Bayley, Sworn to Oath, Witchfynde, Furyon, Zico Chain and a host of
other rock and metal artists. The band have appeared on SKY TV, BBC Radio, Total
Rock Radio and appeared in rock press such as Metal Hammer and Powerplay magazines.
Two tracks from the album appear on the worldwide smash PC game MOTORM4X and lead
track 'Messiah Complex' continues to receive airplay on international rock radio
stations. The band has been announced amongst the first seven bands for the 2013
SOS Festival in Manchester next July. I.C.O.N have just secured their first official
endorsement with UK based Dovetail Strings.
Exit State and I.C.O.N
will be joined by special guests at each show, including in Scotland, the popular
Scottish metal band Mair. And in Liverpool Hell to Pay and Rain May Fall.
