The shows mentioned here are in West Texas, but the House Concert offer and
Speaking Event announcement are available anywhere in the U.S.
Fun comes in different flavors doesn't it? The shows coming up (and
one I'm hoping for) cover the whole Tony Barker Music menu:
Tomorrow night I'm in Sweetwater playing a new venue called
Buck's Steaks & Bar-B-Que. It's
owned by a couple of Musical Souls that have played a big part in their local scene
(Sponsors of the SweetH20 festival downtown and one reason I get to say that I played
with Texas Music Legend Bob Livingston). Please come have a
steak and a beer with folks who deserve your business!
Saturday night I'm playing at Fatboy's Grand Opening at 525 Arnold.
102 The Bear's "The Queen" will be doing a live remote broadcast, and
it looks to be a rowdy good time!
Sunday is the weekly Firehouse Patio show. I truly LOVE
me some Firehouse; you'll have to come out and see what crazy stuff is going to
come out of the speakers this week!
Next Saturday (and again on June 8th) I get to come back to my other favorite
patio; Copper Creek! Slightly less rowdy,
but just as intense; we've had some good times under that sunset!
I get to play with a band on June 28th in Midland, opening
for a GREAT Elton John Tribute band, "Bennie and The Jets". It's
a benefit for the Aphasia Center at Centeo Plaza Downtown.
HOUSE CONCERT OPPORTUNITY
A couple of months ago I had the privilege of playing with Washuntara. He's opened for the Moody
Blues, Rolling Stones, a ton of other legends, and once played a private event for
Sir Paul McCartney. He's coming back to West Texas later this month, and asked
me to see if we could arrange a show together. If you've got a group of friends
that would like to have a private show, contact me, and we'll set something up.
Or just stay tuned to this space, and I'll let you know where we'll do a public
As always, thank you for being on this list. I know it's been a while
since you've heard from me. That's for two reasons; one is that I don't want
to be overly intrusive. The other is that I'm working on a project that has
been in the making for many years, and seems to have suddenly burst into being;
a Speaking career!
with a program designed for young people entering the work force for the first time,
and the business who would benefit from having engaged Team Members, instead of
kids that they have to babysit, and "keep an eye on".
I've been working on the content, and not at all on the website,
or promotional stuff, but I'll keep you posted as events develop. In the meantime,
if you know of someone who would benefit from that, please let me know.
Thanks again, and take care of each other!
