What a great couple of weeks!
We just got back from playing at Grand Canyon Music festival in lovely Phoenix,
Arizona. You can go to our website to check out the photos. It was an amazing
experience and we want to thank all of you for your continued support as it is you
that make trips like this possible. We were able to make some new fans while there
and connect with some amazing people. Most notable of those was Matt Odmark of Jars
Of Clay. Matt has been graciously giving of his time over this past year as we've
worked with him on the mastering of one of our songs and we are looking ahead to
recording our first full album with him. His advice and encouragement are invaluable
and it was wonderful to get to meet face to face (Jars' concert was unbelievable
as well. If you don't listen to thier music may I encourage you to do so. Incredible
musicians with incredible hearts).
Moving forward we have some big things in view. We are attempting to organize
a tour accross the country, possibly partnering with a national Christian recovery
group to play for their groups in various locations. This would be a real leap of
faith as it is expensive to take a band on the road. Just meeting expenses and paying
the bills back at home while on the road can be a challenge. So, we are hoping to
have our album finished and available before we hit the road. This will give us
what everyone has been asking for (a proper studio album) to sell while on the road
and hopefully fund this travelling circus! We will be announcing tour dates and
album availability once we've nailed down the specifics. We are also contemplating
ways to fund production of the album. This will most likely take the form of a Kickstarter
or Indiegogo campaign. Again, we'll get you more information as we get it.
All in all, 2013
is shaping up to be an exciting year for us. How about you? Do have some goals in
view or has life pressed you into a corner that it is hard to see out of? It is
our hope that we will be able to encourage you on to great things this year. Try
to leave the disappointments of the past in the past. A lyric in a new song we are
working on says "Don't go blind staring at an empty yesterday that's gone away".
We firmly believe in new beginnings and our hope and prayer for all of you is that
today will be the start of something exceptional and inspirational for each one
