"You have to love it when a local act closes out a show. Archetyped did so in
great fashion with a great set of heavy metal sprinkled with groove and progressive
leanings. This was my first time seeing Archetyped live, and I was definitely impressed
with their stage presence, sound, and musicianship. Archetyped features six members,
which is unique in and of itself. The native El Paso act fuses the sounds of a
twin guitar attack, a thunderous bass and drum rhythm section, the added energy
of a keyboard, and of course, some meaty vocals. Archetyped played a Lamb of God
and a System of the Down cover during their set, but the band's original music was
