Americana / Alt-Country / HonkyTonk
Just a quick heads up to you all.
Palatine Ave will be kicking off The Folklife Festival tomorrow on The
Armory Stage in the Armory Bldg at 2pm.
We will be doing a rare acoustic set. Yep! ACOUSTIC.
If you are around the Seattle Center, come and join us. I think 2pm sounds like
a great time to start Happy Hour on a Friday. Don't you?
Cheers to you, and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
See you there.
"Big news coming from Palatine Ave headquarters, the six piece Alt-Country/Americana
band out of Seattle is so excited to announce the release of their Self-titled album.
This compilation of Americana/Alt-country/Honky Tonk tunes is a reflection of music
that they have recorded over the last two years. Lead singer Dru Deiner explains
is like this "we couldn't be more proud of how it turned out,So to celebrate this
new music, we are going to throw one hell of a party."
The new album features the smokey every man vocals from Deiner on eight new songs
layered with pedal steel, violin, twangy Telecaster, mandolin and a touch of banjo
for good measure. Standout tracks include the lonesome 'Desert Highway,' the optimistic
anthem 'Big Dreams,' and honky tonk sing along 'Empty Bottle Blues.' Northwest country
diva Jessica Lynne add guest vocals to several tracks including the time tested
chestnut 'You Are My Sunshine."
