Dear
colleagues, to start off, a poem inspired by Celtic folklore: WAY DOWN
BY THE MEADOW Poem (also set to music) from January 20th 2013
by Charles E.J. Moulton Way down by the meadow,
way down by the creek, There lived a young maiden so mild and so meek, She bid me fetch water way down by the well, But when I would arrive there
no one one dared to tell. ... I got lost in the meadow upon that dark night,
My heart full of passion, my head full of fright, The fairies abducted and
taunted my soul, And left me on the meadow, bewildered, unwhole. I went back from the meadow, back to my old house, And saw my dear maiden,
my dear old spouse, But she had aged wildly, a good twenty years, And
I was still a young man and full of tears. Last night I dreamt of a
maiden, so young and so fair, she lays under a tombstone with long greying
hair, And I live eternal a-wondering why, What lays beyond the meadow
and why I can't die. (inspired by Irish fairytales and Celtic folklore) THE

Jeannette Rasenberger,
