Hi All,

For those interested in such things, I've just been nominated for the Independent Music Awards, (Instrumental Category) for the song "Pannini Fandango".

Judges for the awards include:
- Suzanne Vega
- Ziggy Marley (Bob's boy)
- Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan
- Pete Wentz (Fallout Boy)
- Weird Al Yankovic ("Like a Surgeon...")
- Joel Madden (Good Charlotte)
And about 50 others.

There are two awards up for grabs, and one of them is based purely on popularity (and I have a 1 in 5 chance of winning, provided I can get enough people to vote!).

So, if you have a few minutes free, I'd love it if you could follow the rather unnecessarily lengthy process below and send me your vote (5 stars = awesomeness).

#2. Under Register, enter a valid email address, a password and confirm your password; then click Register Now! You will be sent TWO emails. One which activates your registration and one which asks you to confirm your subscription to our newsletter so you can stay updated about the winners and other IMA news. *Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see the email to activate your registration (especially Gmail users).
#3. After clicking the link to confirm your registration, log in using the information you provided.
#4. Navigate to the this link (http://www.independentmusicawards.com/imanominee/12th/Song/Instrumental) and vote by giving a nominee 1 to 5 stars (with 5 stars being the best).

My song "Panini Fandango" is under the SONG/INSTRUMENTAL category.

FREE STUFF
For those who vote, I'll be giving away a free downloadable copy of my album MUCHO GRANDE, featuring Panini Fandango.

Just shoot me a note telling me that you've voted and I'll send you the link to the album.

Thank you for your support and I promise to remember you all when I am super rich and famous I will remember your kindness (as I knit a jumper out of $100 bills and throw scraps of food to the mob of fans waiting outside my window for a glimpse of my shiny bald head).

Cheers
Luke

"With three albums under his belt and three on the way plus talk of a new novel in the near future, Luke GB has no time to look back now! This multi-skilled instrumentalist, composer, folk guitarist & author certainly has a lot to say but don’t ask him to do a cover of “Stairway to Heaven” because he just may kick your ass!"  Jimmy Rae, Skope Magazine

"Winner - Queensland Music Awards, "World Category" Last night Luke Gartner-Brereton took home the 2012 QMA award for best song in the "World" Category with the song Panini Fandango.
