NEWS

Hey Friends,

Wow,  2012 went by fast, we need to sloooow it down some, I sure hope it was a great one for all of you!

It was a great one for me, I had a blast touring with the Tom Gillam Band in the USA, Germany & the Netherlands and touring in Spain and Europe with The US Rails...

And as some of you know, the drummer for the US Rails "Matt Muir and keyboard player, songwriter Ben Arnold helmed the production of  my new CD, Good For You. Working with them along with the other Rails, Joseph Parsons and Scott Bricklin has made us into quite a close knit musical family over the years and with the constant idea and talent "spill over" into each of our solo projects, it just makes the music that much richer and multi layered for sure. To be honest, it's just plain magic and fun when we're together working.

I also had my first Kickstarter ... It was a HUGE success! Let me take a moment to thank all of my friends and fans who contributed to my Kickstarter campaign that helped to fund the recording of Good For You back in July/August... Thank you, thank you! Without you, this record wouldn't be a reality. I'm humbled and honored you felt compelled to help! All of your Kickstarter incentive gifts will be in the mail to you shortly, I hope you all enjoy listening to "Good For You" as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you all for supporting me and making it possible to do what I love.

Yes, 2013 is getting off to a perfect start, Febuary 2 will be the official US debut of my new album, Good For You. It will begin a whirlwind of excitement and work for your old buddy Tom Gillam. What better way to begin the festivities than a CD release concert right in my own backyard in New Braunfels, Texas...

The show will feature The Tom Gillam Band... David Spencer (Lead Guitar & Vocals), Ian Bailey (Drums & Vocals), Dan McCann (Bass & Vocals) and of course Me (Lead Vocals & Guitar). We will perform all 12 tracks from Good For You in their entirety along with a set of Gillam classic tunes. This is the first time I have attempted to do an entire LP live and I'm really excited about it!

The Brauntex Theatre is a beautiful venue to see a concert, perfect lighting and sound, comfortable seating and an entirely full service bar to boot! Tickets will only be available at the door ($10) and at 7:30 Tony Taylor will open the show for us, so come early to get the best seats! it's important that this show is successful, not only for myself, but for other musicians who might want to have their CD release show at the Brauntex Theatre. You see, This is the first CD release show ever at this venue. If this one is successful, you can bet there might be more to follow! It'll be a great time for sure, I hope to see you there!

Looking toward the future, 2013 will also have some other great happenings as well. Along with the release of Good For You and the subseqent touring that I'll do to promote it, I'll also be doing a spring European tour with US RAILS to coincide with our soon to be finished release. We don't have a title yet, but all of the songs are recorded and sound spectacular!

I also did a great acoustic show over the Christmas holidays recorded at the Barrington Coffee House in my old home state of New Jersey. I was joined by my fellow US RAILS bandmates, Matt Muir and Ben Arnold. We played a real one of a kind acoustic show for an intimate gathering of friends, family and fans. I plan to release these recordings, hopefully by the fall. It was truly a magical night and I'm so glad that Brian Thomason of Thomason Audio was there to capture it in it's multi-tracked glory. Keep your eyes and ears open for this one!

Well, I have much to do, don't want time to pass me by, with that said...I hope to see you down the road, I'm positive good things are right around the corner!

                                                    Cheers

"Tom serves up a tasty brew of Americana country-rock that's anchored in classic 70s era southern/country rock influences"  — Take Country Back
"What might set this artist apart from the pack, however, is his songcraft -- most noticeable on the title track, which has just the right balance of guitar crunch, winning melody, and manly anguish, It's wise to file this under highly likable""  — Erik Hage, All Music Guide
"Soulful country rock, strong harmonies, ringing slide guitar.  — Michael Meehan., Freight Train Boogie
