Writing this today (Fri Nov 8th) on a tourbus en route to Kansas City, MO for a show at Knuckleheads with the American Legacy Tour featuring legendary country artist Ronnie McDowell, me, Coley McCabe, Coral Reefers Nadira Shakoor, Doyle Gresham and Amy Lee, Southern gospel quartet The Florida Boys, "Dear Jimmy Buffett" writer Matt Hoggatt, and new Nashville artist Lee Gibson. We have already been to Birmingham, Laurel MS, Tupelo and Little Rock on this tour and it's a pretty cool show. Check my schedule below for more info. We are in Kansas City tonight, St. Louis on the 9th, Kokomo IN on the 10th, Marion IN on 11th, Lexington KY on 12th and the tour wraps up on the 13th in Nashville at the Texas Troubador Theater.  If you would like passes to any of the shows, let me know.

We played at the Elvis Presley Birthplace Theater this week. The house he grew up in is a tiny two room shack! Proof that you can start with nothing and go all the way.

Also playing next week at our old favorite, Puckett's in Franklin TN on Saturday 11/16.
Hope to see you on the road!!!!

"I've seen Thom perform solo 4 times, but the romp with the full band at The Big Barndance was KILLER! Man, he tore the roof off the barn! Fantastic set. Loved the new stuff, particularly 22 Long (the Owen Temple co-write), funny and real clever."  DT, Dave Tartaglia

"Thom Shepherd is one of my favorite people, and I’ve made it pretty clear that’s how I feel. He’s a kind, upbeat, positive person who also happens to be a heck of a songwriter and singer."  Dave Wheaton,

"I went to see Kevin Fowler at Gruene Hall on Saturday and got an unexpected surprise - Thom Shepherd! I was like wow, who is this guy??? His band was awesome and I didn’t realize he had written so many songs like “Redneck Yacht Club” and “Riding with Private Malone.” He apparently has written some of Fowler’s hits too - he sang “Beer Season” in his show and then sat in with Kevin on the song “Hip Hop in a Honkytonk.” He also sang some songs he wrote with Kyle Park and Josh Abbott - “The Night Is Young” and “You Ain’t Met My Texas Yet.” But I was more impressed with the songs I never heard before. He has one called “Feeder Road Do-Si-Do” that is hilarious and “Texas Girls” sounds like a Texas standard that should be played in every honkytonk. I met him after the show, he was super cool and I got his CD and have been wearing it out ever since! I feel like I have discovered the next big thing to hit Texas."  Jim Nelson,
