The Late Ancients
Rock / Psychedelic / Folk Rock
Friends and Fans,
We are excited to announce that we will be playing not one, but two shows this weekend!
We'll be kicking things off tomorrow (Friday, April 26th) night at Fergie's Pub in center city Philadelphia. Not
only will will be playing from 10 PM until 1:30 AM (over 4 hours of music!),
there is NO cover. That's right...it's FREE! Fergie's is located at
12th and Sansom, in the heart of center city.
For all of our upstate
New York fans, we will be making a trip on Saturday night up to Oneonta, New York
to play the Black Oak Tavern. Once again, we'll be playing
with our great friends, Tumbleweed Highway. We had the privelage of sharing
the stage with Tumbleweed last Saturday evening at The Blarney Stone in Norwich, New
York. If you have not had the privelage of hearing these guys, do yourself
a favor and check them out now! You will not be disappointeted.
Once again, we want to thank all of you for your continued support. If you
can't make it out to any of the shows this weekend, be sure to check out some of
our upcoming shows (listed below). Until next time...
THE LATE ANCIENTS
"I first encountered The Late Ancients during a show at the Grape Room, probably
about a year ago, and was absolutely blown away. Not only did they have a sound
that I quickly fell in love with, but every member of the band was clearly a top-notch
individual player. It was also refreshing to see a band with a female lead vocalist,
as very few Philadelphia rock bands showcase a female fronted sound." Dan
Cooper, Root Down In The Shadow
"The [Ancients] have
a great Blues Rock sound in the tradition of many of the bands that we play on SRrocks.com.
I know I can be real tough on bands with Female vocals but I was very impressed
by the unique signature vocals of Brittany Staub. As a band they have a great blend
of harmonies." Bernard Overly, SRrocks.com
"Nice crafty original music, and
all great players too. They're a great live show and I really enjoyed sitting in!" -
Glenn McClelland, Keyboardist of Ween; Blood, Sweat and Tears
