Hey What's up people! Thanks so much for being on are friend list and especially the mailing list . We've taken a beating in the local ratings because of inactivity on our part. That's about to change drastically. I (Christopher Scum) did a solo gig tonight and talked to one of my personal favorite Guitarist in Knoxville. Don't wanna mention names yet but of the 3 guitarist we have lined up, oe I've been in a band with before (Dude I talked to tonight) another is Bad ass and I've shared the stage with hi a million times and this other guy is a lot younger, I'm just getting to know him but he can fucking wail.

By March, Hopefully at the WallyPalooza We will be back on the scene playing regularly!

First we're gonna drop the E.P. we already did with Former Guitarist  Steven Crime Bultman then B.Riot and I have enough material to put out a full length just from what we've been cooking up! So please hit our page up some, God we're at 28! Let's try to get back in the top ten anyway! This shit is crazy, we were at #7 at one point then started dropping and I realize that's on us but we been waiting for the right guitarist. Now we'rethinking about playing shows with a few different just for shits and giggle. Oh, and the Chance to play loud Rock n Roll again asap!

Even thinking about askig the very original Guitarist from 8 yrs ago (He hung around about 6mo. then went on to something else given Steven Crime his opportunity to shine. Just saying do not EVER write the DIRTY WORKS off cause we haven't even peaked yet! This is exactly what we needed to wake our asses up and realize life is way to short to NOT BE PLAYING PUNK ROCK n ROLL!

"In an era where "punk" is defined by Green Day and Blink 182, The Dirty Works turn the genre on it's nose. The band blends crunchy guitars, machine gun drums and snarly vocals reminiscent of MODC and Bad Brains. On first listen, their sound is raw and messy, in true punk style, but once you run the record through a finer ear, you realize the musicianship is actually quite tight, which proves how good The Dirty Works really are. "  Echo Lamb, examiner.com

"WITH BRASS KNUCKLES taped to his microphone, Christopher Scum paces the stage while bashing the mic repeatedly into his own face until he's a bloody mess. This sickening and disturbing essence is persistent throughout Rebel Scum, the new documentary film that follows the daily strife and madness of a trashy punk band called The Dirty Works. Before the Atlanta premiere at the Plaza Theatre, producer Francis Percarpio introduced Rebel Scum as a "hardcore documentary" that was not for the faint at heart and created for anyone, anywhere who simply doesn't fit in, isn't quite fit for these times, or just uncomfortable in their own skin. Rebel Scum follows a band that seems displaced in the bible belt territory of Knoxville, TN, where The Dirty Works defend their artistic expression amid tormenting addiction, abuse, violence, and serious hostility against the religious zealot south."  Nadia Lelutiu, The performer film review

"When we recorded 'Biscuits and Liquor,' a couple of the guys had never really recorded in a professional atmosphere before," Scum says. "They thought because the owner/engineer allowed drinking, which most studios do, that it was a damn party. We suffered dearly in sound and time use because of this. This studio experience is on the documentary. It shows (Riot) and I having a heated argument. This is something that would never happen now. Since then we've grown musically as well as individuals. We're tighter in all ways."  Jer Cole, Knoxville News Sentinel
