Hi All:

 

I participated in a 48 songwriting contest/experiment sponsored by a local public broadcasting radio station WCBE this past weekend, so I thought I'd share.

 

The deadline for the song submissions were midnight on October 7. The song could have been any genre and length, but it had to contain the following words: kid, broke, Columbus, WCBE and ... duct tape. I know, right? That almost killed it for me, but I seemed to get a tune in my head and I followed it. By about 10pm on the 7th, I pulled together "Back to Columbus" and I sent it off.

 

I'm not sure what happens now although they said the songs will air on WCBE during the Fall fundraising effort. You all don't have to wait for you can get the special preview right here, right now. It was a lot of fun pulling it together and a challenge to get something going that I liked with the clock ticking (since I had other things to do that weekend too).
