Hey y'all!

Things are going so well right now.  Lots of music and fun to report!

I have started a new band in Austin with the tremendously talented Teal Collins (The Mother Truckers).  She and I are co-fronting a rock/blues/honky-tonk band called The Whiskey Sisters, and I am so excited about it I wanna pee my pants!!!

You can find out more about us at www.thewhiskeysisters.com

We just played our first show to a full crowd at The Continental Club, and it was a dream.  We are doing covers and originals...writing more and more.  We have a 6 piece band consisting of Etan Sekons (guitar), Michael Davids (keys), Lonnie Trevino (bass) and Phil Bass (drums) (and us).  They are all fantastically talented and fun to play with.

We will be playing every Monday at The Continental Club, happy hours 6:30-8:30 (FREE)

Also we have a few SXSW showcases:

As for my own stuff, I am revving up to make my third record!!!  I will be working with producer Jeff Berkley again!!!!  I will also be fortunate enough to have Marcia Claire (bass), Bill Coomes (drums) and Mike Spurgat (guitar) record with me!

We will be laying down the basic tracks in San Diego, and then Jeff, the record and I will head back out here to Austin to layer some color and flavor by local Austin talent.  It’s exciting to be able to have a mix of San Diego and Austin in this new project.

I will be using Kickstarter to help raise money to fund the project and will send all the information once it is prepared.

Lots of fun stuff!  I hope to see you all at a show soon!

PRESS

"Warm, evocative vocals"  George Varga, San Diego Union-Tribune

"There's no reason Barbara Nesbitt is still unsigned... in a sultry, sugary, softly gritty voice competition, she'd give Bonnie Raitt a run for her money."  Ollie, San Diego Reader

"This is simply a girl with a tremendous, angelic voice singing wonderfully crafted songs"  Craig Yerkes, San Diego Troubadour
