Happy February! Puxatawney Phil says there's only 6 weeks of winter left......let's hope! Sorry to all you snow lovers out there, but I'm ready for Spring :-)

 

February has turned into quite a busy month, so with these last few weeks of winter doldrums, why not come out to see a show? The full schedule is below.....after all my chatter.

 

First and foremost, I have tickets for my upcoming show at the Iron Horse Music Hall on Sunday, Feb 10th at 7pm that I will discount for the first 10 people who contact me for them. Regularly $15 (advanced, $18 at the door), I will let them go for $10 so contact me at redlionrecords@aol.com asap! This is going to be a cool show. I'm opening for a Jim Croce/Gordon Lightfoot tribute band from CT called Rainy Day People. They do a great job capturing the sound and essense of these great songwriters who were very instrumental in my musical development years ago. No better stage in the region.....hope you can join me! Joining me at Songwriter Sessions this Friday, Feb 8th are some of my favorite songwriters and people Joanne Lurgio (RI), Lara Herscovitch (CT) and John Fuzek (RI). We will be unveiling new songs written on last month's audience chosen theme of "the best time". Don't miss out......plus you'll be getting a preview of the Girls With Curls tour......even though there is one guy. He also has curls :-)

 

Debuting at the Sandywoods Center for the Arts in Tiverton RI again with some of my faves: Lara Herscovitch, Joanne Lurgio (Girls with Curls.....we're going to Nashville too!) and Matt Borello......he doesn't have curls but is terrific nonetheless! I'll be returning to some great rooms and eateries this month: The Duck (Sturbridge MA), Gheppetto's (Ware MA), Harvest Cafe (Hudson MA) and Johnny's Tap Room (South Hadley MA). So if you're hungry and want to hear some good live music, come see us!

 

The last big news that I can think of at the moment, is that I will be in Nashville in early April to do some shows, reconnect with some friends and make some new industry contacts. I'm also planning on doing some recording while down there.......the rest of those details are hush hush for now :-) Did I mention that I ordered my cowboy.....'er...cowgirl boots? Never owned a pair. I think it's damn time, don't you?
