"On a 90-degreee
summer evening in Kansas City, The Brick was open for its Thursday evening singer
songwriter showcase. This Thursday night featured Camilla Camille and David George
who performed for a crowd of about 50 people including Slim Hanson, Michael Byers
and the showcase’s beloved producer, Patrick Devany.
Starting off the evening was Camilla Camille. With a diminutive frame and an expressive,
upbeat and assertive voice, Miss Camille delivered a fun and intellectually stimulating
set of punk inspired folk songs that were backed by clean bar chords and her vibrant
and infectious personality that just took us all to a happier place.
