Well it 's about five days until
the Summer Solstice, and the Arizona desert is at its finest. Triple digit
highs with the nights cooling off to the chilly high eigties to low nineties!
Just thinking about a heavy kilt and thick Piper's hose is enough to send rivelets
of sweat down the back of your neck!
But, its been a great season. I piped with the Knights Templar at the
Pioneer Memorial Day service, piped several funerals, piped at the VA Hospital,
piped for disabled Vets, piped for the Breast Cancer Relay for Life, Piped for the
Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Arizona, and for more than a few parties.
Not only that, I've got the first four tracks down for the Christmas Album!
I hope to be releasing that in mid to late October.
And Speaking of October, there will be a three day "Run
for the Fallen" honoring our War Dead in October. I have the honor of
Piping the closing ceremony at Wesley Bolin Memorial Center October 20th.
More details about that later.
Between now and then? Well I hope to get back up to Winslow to make some
much needed repairs on both the Piper's Laire, and the Piper.
Until then, be as cool as the
weather will allow.
