Hey there -
It's been a while since I've sent out a music email,
so I'm dusting off this old mailing list. (In case you don't know me or how
you got on this list, it might be from a band called Kill The Camera
I had a few years back.) Please feel free to unsubscribe, I don't believe
in wasting electrons and don't want to harass you, unless you're into that sort
of thing.
Just wanted to start off
2013 right by admitting the truth - in case you haven't seen my
updates elsewhere, I'm in a band again and I had the audacity to name this one after
myself. I said it, I meant it, I'm here to represent it. But I couldn't
do it without the help of some incredible musicians. (For more about them,
click through to the ReverbNation profile and check it out.)
I'll write more in a week or two, but for you folks in the NYC area: I'm on the mic
with this latest "affair" tomorrow night, Wed Jan 30.
(Sorry for the short notice.) We've had a weekly residency at 78 Below on the Upper West
Side for the last few months, and tomorrow may be the last one for a while. We've
had some truly outstanding nights there. (And a few crickets, if we are to
be honest.)
This
is a cozy, intimate venue, the players are phenomenal, and Bobby Held rules on the
soundboard. All manner of magical sounds come out of the
speakers when we get into it, if I do say so myself.
I've listed "doors" at 9pm, and I'll be there
early, but the music actually happens from 10pm until 1am. Two
sets, and there's no cover charge. It's a blast - I actually feel like I'm
doing what I'm supposed to be doing with these guys, and if you know me, that's
saying something.
