Happy New Year! ... or, Not Setting Resolutions in 2013

New words:

You heard right, y'all! I am NOT setting any resolutions this year! Read all about in my newest blog. (Remember my blog? That failed resolution from last year? Yup, it's back!) Check it out HERE!

New shows:

I've got a couple of shows booked for the New Year, and more to be announced in the next few weeks! First up is a last minute fill in for one of my favorite co-writers, Kristen Kuiper (check out her music! It's great!). I'll be playing at the Hotel Indigo in downtown Nashville tonight at 7 PM. If you're in Nashville, I'd love for you to stop by for a great night of music!

Check out the show schedule at the bottom of the page for the rest of my upcoming shows, and be sure to like my Facebook Page to stay up to date with new announcements!

New Tunes:

I've been writing some great songs with some awesome writers recently, and I will definitely be keeping it up and bringing you guys lots of new music this year! For now, keep your eyes on my YouTube page for weekly videos. Right now, you can see several full band videos from the weekend Chicago Bears Fans took over Nashvile when the Bears took on the Tennessee Titans! I'd love for you to check out the videos and let me know which are your favorites!

Not-so-new Stuff:

As always, I have to say a big THANK YOU to all of you. Without you, I'd be singing to empty rooms and sharing free downloads with nobody... What's that? You didn't get your FREE DOWNLOAD? Click HERE to grab a free copy of an acoustic version of one of my newer originals, "Flowers Will Grow" (or head over to the homepage at Just another little way to say thanks :)

I hope you all are having a great start to 2013, whether you've made resolutions or are joining me in a Resolution Free 2013. I hope to see you at a show sometime this year!

"It’s easy to get swamped by the sea of faceless, bland singer/songwriters who pass through the office. Annie Kennedy, however, hit a crucial nerve with Highway Songs, a mix of contemporary country braced with a dollop of folksy pop and bits of driving rock. Sprinkled with a swinging kick, Kennedy’s sprightly vocals prance along with the half-time waltz in “Gettin’ Over You,” recalling June Carter Cash. Her spirited musicianship shines through in the soaring “Again And Again” with precise and nimble playing that carries her message of perseverance."  Patrick Conlan, Illinois Entertainer

"Her songs can be contemplative or upbeat, she said. She uses her songs to tell stories of what's going on in her lives, her friends' lives and what's going on in the world around her."  Melissa Tussing, Woodridge Patch

"Former Harvard resident Annie Kennedy has fond memories of attending Milk Day parades during her childhood. Now the accomplished country singer/songwriter is returning to northern Illinois for two festive performances at a Woodstock apple orchard."  Matt Fagerholm, Woodstock Independent
