Happy New Year!!! While I am a bit late, I hope this year
you find even greater joy and peace in your life. The new year is such a great way
to make some lasting change and stick with it!
This year my goal is to help as many people as I can with my
time, energy and music. So far, the year is off to a busy start. With a group
of Cambridge-based artist, we helped raise money for The Argus
homeless shelter for teens. As you may have noticed from my latest blog, "fruit
lady" is my new title: I have been running the nutrition program at our local
junior public school to provide a locally sourced fruit and veggie
snack for 260 kids each morning delivered in a little red wagon so the kids can
serve themselves (read more). Helping
children keep their childhood is very dear to my heart. This coming Saturday night, February
2nd at 8pm at the Drake Hotel in Toronto, a group of like-minded artists
are Singing for Change in efforts to raise money for War
Child's "Childhood Matters Campaign". Please join us or donate if you
can. Chris Assaad, JP Saxe, Kristine St. Pierre, Angela Saini and myself and donating
every dollar to the kids (read more) . Coming
up in March is the Wonder Women music series to provide empowerment
workshops for female artists. There is a week full of workshops and then a music
fest at the end (read more)! Stay tuned. Again, I am always thankful for your support, kindness and
ideas. Heather xo

"Heather Hill's Leuty Station is a remarkable and beautiful sounding disc. With
strong vocals, imaginative words, music with hooks, expansive arrangements, and
sometimes epic production, she presents an interesting strong female image lyrically."

"Heather Hill is not only
an incredibly talented musician, who weaves beautiful stories into music, she is
an inspiration to her fellow artists. Leaving the corporate world to pursue her
dream as an artist is both brave and terrifying and you can feel the power of her
love for her chosen profession in each and every song." Lizzie Violet,
Lipstick Indie Review
"It’s hard to imagine,
when you hear her voice, that Heather was ever a corporate vice president. Unlike
a lot of modern musicians, Hill doesn’t sound overly processed; she sounds
like a natural." Sarah Lennox, Cadence Magazine
