FUN that I've decided to make it a regular gig. Every other Saturday I will be doing
a StageIt show. For those of you who haven't heard of it, StageIt is a website that
allows artists to perform concerts via the internet live all over the world. You
can tune in from the comfort of home and see me perform for you. There are prizes
for top tippers, a chat box to talk to me, and lots of just plain fun. Check it

THIRDLY - We are going back into the studio on September 2nd
to record some new music so you can hear the new sound. We could really use some
help with the cost though. Please visit our store and get yourself or a friend a
treat by picking up a CD for just $10...or a T-shirt, or jewelry, or just donate
if you just want to help. The link for the store is www.alexcartwright.com/store.html.
FINALLY (still with me?) - My illustrious hubby man and I are so excited to announce
that we have a new business called Cartwright's Backroad Guitars & More - We
are making instruments out of everday items and you won't believe how cool they
are. You can keep up with it by going to www.cbgandmore.com
"Alex Cartwright has a new release, recorded in Tahlequah, Okla., using musicians
from that neck of the woods and featuring a slew of her newest songs, that from
an artist who started writing songs when she was 15.
The songs she writes have the feeling that she’s “been there, done that,
moved on and learned from the experience.” She delivers them with a soulful
voice that has just enough twang to nudge the overall sound of the project into
the country-rock arena.
There’s a fun, bouncy vibe throughout the disc, even when the material is looking
back at a less-than-positive situation. You get the feel that Cartwright is so ferociously
upbeat that she could weather any storm, and is so effervescent that you can almost
visualize her percolating as she stands at the mic laying down the vocals during
the recording session...
...Here’s hoping we hear more from this young talent in the years to come." John
Ziegler, Duluth News Tribune
"If you get a chance to see
Alex in concert, make sure that you go. You won't regret it. Her music is amazing." Lydia
