Come out to the best listening room in the Carolinas for a mesmerizing blur of rock, folk, jazz and world music. I'll be joined by friends Stan Gardner on bass (Jebel, Confederate Fagg) and David Kelly on drums (Jebel, Grey Egg). We'll have a full range set, drawing from both of my current projects: the odd-rock of WRONGWRONGWRONG and the acoustic American spirit music of Ghost Notes. Come over if you're in town. We'd love to play for you!
Come out to the best listening room in Carolina for a night of solo acoustic pieces, a rock trio, and several special guests from my days in Columbia’s rock scene, including friends Stan Gardner on bass and drums (Jebel, Confederate Fagg, Hick'ry Hawkins), Troy Tague on drums (Danielle Howle, Iron and Wine, Tootie and the Jones) and there's rumors of two more of my young friends joining us. I'll be drawing from both of my current projects, WRONGWRONGWRONG and Ghost Notes, for a full range set including my candid singer/songwriter material and some off-kilter rock. Come over if you're in town. We'd love to play for you!
According to ancient Hebrew numerology, 666 is the number of the beast; 777 is the title of Aleister Crowley's book on numerology; 888 is the name of Jesus Christ, so what's 999? It's WRONGWRONGWRONG, of course! WRONG plays Trash Bar on 9/9 at 9 and kicks off its new party with a great group of friends. WRONG has just joined a new collective of like-minded bands called Communicable Music that is going to book entire nights of sonically and socially related rock bands. We're starting it off with the primal spacerock of Monuments at 8pm, Yours Wrongly at 9pm, and the archetypal anthems and ragers of Donksongs United at 10. Come out and join the new party and witness the tremendous culminating numerolgical forces of 999: WRONGWRONGWRONG!
Bryan Wade’s WRONGWRONGWRONG will be playing the White Mule on Friday, March 5th at 9 pm. The Mule is a pretty low-key room, so we’ll be re-casting our oddrock blast into cocktail party schwing-rock played perfectly imperfect with wide ties, frizzy hair and Old Spice. Well, maybe we’ll skip the dress code, but the tunes will be fresh to our ears and yours. We will also have our new demo available for instant download while you wait for the bartender to mix your drink. If you’re digging the tune we’re playing, you can download it onto your personal palm passpod, go into the restroom and listen to it again! Isn’t modern technology ridiculous! Yes, and we love it!
