“The First Annual Boot Scootin’ Barbeque Ball was held January 15th to kick-off the Corsicana Education Foundation’s two-month long annual drive, which will run from January 15th to March 15th. “The evening couldn’t have gone better. We were expecting about 160 guests and we ended up with over 225,” stated Samantha Daviss, Executive Director of the Foundation. “I think people really enjoyed themselves. Most guests did ‘scoot their boots’ on the dance floor and we even had a couple of patrons join the band on stage to sing a few of their favorite tunes.” The evening consisted of a silent auction with over 25 donated items to bid on, live music from The Bryan Smith Band”
