"Brindl's voice makes you stop what you're doing and forget where you are. The moment she starts singing, the crowd is captivated. Like Norah Jones or Sarah Harmer, Brindl sings with sensuality and grace." (Drew Pearce, Contributing Writer for Acoustic Guitar Magazine)
Born in New York state and raised in California, Brindl started writing songs on her brother's guitar at 16. She was influenced by everything from 70's singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Crosby, Stills and Nash to jazz singers of the 30's and 40's like Billy Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. (Her grandmother was 30's singer, Connie Gates)
After spending four years at UC Santa Cruz directing and scoring films, she recorded “Sweet Underneath” in 2001,“Nice Girl” EP in 2004 and played extensively in the Greater Bay Area and West Coast.
Brindl started her own label Moxy Music in 2008 with the mission to cultivate independent music and act as a resource for independent artists. “The digital revolution has broken up the traditional record label paradigm and has given unsigned artists more opportunity to be heard.”
