“Johnny Cash impersonator got late start on career
Close your eyes and you’d swear you were listening to the late Johnny Cash up on the stage, according to Musselman’s Lake residents Al and Trudy Yetman.
In reality, it’s tribute artist Brian Simon who will perform at the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment - Nineteen on the Park Sept. 18 as part of the monthly series Sing-Along with Al and Trudy and Musician Friends.
The North Bay-based tribute artist is also bringing along a number of his musician friends.
Like most other musicians, Mr. Simon learned how to play the guitar when he was a teenager. But unlike most teens, he kept his abilities to himself.
“I was finding it hard to find a voice I was comfortable with so I sang alone a lot,” according to Mr. Simon’s website.”
