Q: Love the tunes, really original and unique! What is your typical writing process...do you begin with lyrics, melody, groove? What is the most challenging aspect of writing in this style of music?
A: Hi James, we are a band that partly get their ideas by jamming ("Liquorice", which is 90% of the original session, same is for "Vibes")... We jam altogether with our singer, Maja, who is a great talent: Breeze is the first ever band, she's been in, believe it or not! Same goes for our rather young but highly professional drummer, Martin. Thanks to him we can do nearly every style of music, and his groove is always alright. Sometimes, single members (Stefan, the bass player, or Christian, the guitar player) write out some songs (chord progressions and melodies) that they show to others (like "Seven up" - which is just a 8bar-leas sheet... "Tomorrow"...). But a good deal of the material comes from improvisation. We always record rehearsals, so when we meet again, we certainly know what could be develloped into a song. The right arrangement takes us a lot of time, but it is always worthy to go this way. There's much more to listen to a soundcloud, by the way. Best wishes, Chris
