No Cover! (buy a CD for $5 instead). 21+. Come drink some beer at this awesome Texas BBQ Bar and listen to some live original music. This may also be your last chance to see Tim Moulos-Sweeney before he leaves for China at the end of this month! So join us in giving him a proper goodbye with music, booze and friends. It is also entirely possible that this will be the one and only show that Tim Moulos-Sweeney (drums), Aaron Silc (bass), Matt Wilkinson (keyboards), Patrick Sundlof (banjo) and myself (guitar and vocals) will all be playing these songs together. So don't miss it! ADDED BONUS: Kain Osterholt will be kicking off the night with an unforgettable acoustic set of cover songs we all know and love. Becky Levi will also be gracing us with an acoustic set. Her angelic voice and outstanding musicality is not to be missed! It is going to be a grand affair. So mark your calendars, tell all your friends and come check it out! :))))))

“Dhalgren, K.G. Price & T. Andrew Trump, Green Pasture Happiness, Big Sandwich When: Wed., Feb. 22, 9 p.m. Price: $5 Samuel R. Delany's Dhalgren is a sprawling, dreamlike, and thoroughly confounding science-fiction novel that upon its publication in 1975 claimed the top spot on the genre's list of artistic achievements and hasn't budged from it since. In case you can't tell, it's also one of my personal favorite books, so I'm predisposed to like the local experimental group that borrowed its name. The fact that Dhalgren's roster includes Dan Mohr from DRMWPN, Adam Vida from U.S. Maple, and Sam Wagster from Fruit Bats doesn't hurt either. Like the novel, the band's music is sprawling and dreamlike: it consists largely of lushly textured electronic drones that range in tone from meditative to apocalyptic, advancing an idea of psychedelia that does Delany's vision proud. —Miles Raymer K.G.
