About
Bradley Kirkpatrick
Bradley Kirkpatrick is one of Nashville's most beloved young composers for the piano. His sensitive style and gift for melody have invited comparisons with Jim Brickman, George Winston and Yanni. 5-time Grammy nominated composer Suzanne Ciani calls Bradley's music "lovely, melodic and well-expressed." Mark Greer, manager of a number of internet radio stations, describes Bradley's music as "real and inspired." Bradley performs in venues that reflect his commitments to family, community, diversity and an holistic approach to healing the problems within ourselves and our cultures. He has had the privilege of sharing his music with thousands of people both in the United States and overseas, performing for large crowds at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville and for U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander and friends at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. His music can be heard on Easy Listening, Contemporary Christian, Crossover Classical and New Age radio stations worldwide. In his role as music therapist, Bradley performs at hospitals for cancer patients, Alzheimer's patients, and patients waiting to go into surgery as well as for the families of the sick. Schools use his music to help children with special needs relax and focus on learning. "Child's Prayer for the Earth" has quickly become a favorite with pre-school and kindergarten teachers, as soothing background music to play for the kids during naptime. Bradley believes in using his music to help people. To this end, he has worked with the T.J. Martell Foundation, an organization founded by industry musicians concerned with raising money for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research, and Reconciliations, a non-profit group dedicated to helping provide for the families of prison inmates. He has produced, with well-known Nashville poet Navita Gunter, a CD of poetry and music for the Cervical Cancer Coalition of Tennessee. His “Sunday Morning” CDs of traditional church hymns have provided many with hours of peace and comfort. Bradley's self-produced debut CD, "Child's Prayer for the Earth", garnered high critical praise and has been giving strength and inspiration to people of all ages since its release in 2002. With the release of "Invitation to Voyage" and "Homecoming" in 2003, "A Walk In Peace" in 2004, "Rainbow" in 2006, and "Blue Dreaming" in 2007, Bradley is establishing his reputation as one of the most gifted young composers in America. His songs provide a refuge from the stresses of an increasingly hectic world.
