Pop-a-fied Folk? Is that an actual term? Pop-a-fied isn’t in any dictionary but it works for Boulay. Just calling Boulay a Folk Singer/Songwriter isn’t enough. Indie-Folk might work but Indie seems so abstract, too overused; let’s face it we are all “Indie”. Yeah a blend of Pop and Folk! Like Mentos and Pepsi, like weed and whack, like soft and rock, like sham and wow! It just works…Yeah man, Pop-a-Fied Folk.

Boulay is a classically trained singer with a background in musical and dramatic theatre. His knack to connect with the audience is a gift. While some artists just play and sing their songs Boulay plays, performs, connects and delivers the song right to the heart in neat little package with a bow..A red bow..The kind you find at Christmas…Ok maybe Easter..How about birthdays? Whatever you know what I mean.
