About
Christopher Quinn and Mike Gribkoff, (previously referred to as Songs or "do you have an appointment?" but) currently calling themselves Book Of Dreams, have been secretly writing and composing songs together for ages (pretty much since the "Dark Ages", unless the "dark ages" applies to NOW); and have done a rather thorough job of hiding it from the world at large (or at small) (the "human" residents thereon, that is).
While Chris avoided all contact with anything even remotely connected to music education and just sort of winged it, creatively, Mike studied and practiced and logged lots of hours at formal music and composition study; and even graduated with a degree in composition, from some obscure but esteemed college in someplace called Cotati.
While Chris strutted on stages and got kicked out of gigs for stealing the spotlight (which he collected and stashed in secret chambers underground) and for drunken brawls (it is sad when brawls drink too much), Mike avoided stages like the (bleeping) plague, and communed with his friendly walls, happily bouncing secret music vibrations off of them, into his own ears.
While Chris' ears ring and roar (and twice quit hearing but are now only diminished in the right ear and some highs missing in the left), Mike's ears hear clearly, in perfect pitch.
Further, I don't think it any secret that... Chris prefers Chris' singing to Mike's and Mike prefers Mike's playing to Chris' (with good reason I might add).
After Book Of Dreams' internationally (as well as internally) ignored 1997 release, 'At Stars End', Chris and Mike thought it prudent to wait awhile (twelve years?) before unleashing their next aural apostrophe ('Dawn Child') into the uncaring, swarming air, and (now) through the soulless copper and fiber-optic wires of the sprawling Internet (and the billions of eyes and ears and minds it invades).
Disclaimer: No dreams were shattered during the writing, composing, arranging, performing and recording of these songs.
