    ON TUESDAY, ON TUESDAY, ON TUESDAY CALLING ALL POETS, ALL MUSICIANS, ALL VOCALISTS, ALL MONOLOGUERS, ALL COMEDIANS On November 12th, we will be having our weekly Open Mic / Spoken Word This Tuesday our host, the man who always speak from his heart, "The BlaqMann". Our feature will the super BMichelle From the Feature "One of the leading inspirational voices of modern day poetry, Brenda M. Tillman is a gifted poet and spoken word artist who graces audiences with her vision of a peaceful world. This author and former television producer authored her first poem at the age of seven; the pen has remained with her since. She has opened for Nikki Giovanni; read Chinese Love Poems at the High Museum of Art; performed for WCLK’s (Clark Atlanta University) “Vibes and Scribes” and “Jazz and Jeans” series, the Atlanta Heritage Festival, Dragonfly Art Gallery and the 100 Black Men of Savannah Gala, the Roswell Heritage Festival, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to name a few. Workshop participants mention they wish they had more time to experience Tillman’s captivating, entertaining and inspiring sessions. Her first book titled, Shades of Mandingo is dedicated to and honors Black men, describing to the world who Black men really are! Having a passion for education and the arts, she has presented poetry/creative writing workshops for all ages and levels of writers. Her creative writing workshops strive to develop the conscious writer, incorporating themes of self-esteem, empowerment, African American history, while striving to increase literacy. Performing her poems as BMichelle (B-Michelle) in a melodic and engaging tone, a wide range of listeners and readers, nationally and internationally, are mesmerized. Her second book, LISTEN! Your Positive Inner Voice inspires young and old everywhere to seek the peace within their soul. BMichelle offers affirmations, meditations and inspirational poems in this work.
