Summer Battle Jam 2013 "Everyone is battling something" is a heroin addiction awareness event organized to educate, uplift, and grow our community in regards to the heroin and prescription drug abuse problem we are experiencing! Their will be young people from the community painting a picture of their battle using a microphone, marker, or spray paint can in an effort to inspire others from our community to forge through their personal battles with heroin and prescription drugs. There will also be food, fun for the little ones, and lot's of people from our own community who are changing lives by "being the change they want to see". Community partners include The Right Choice Movement, La Plazita Institute, Native Health Initiative, YDI, Media Literacy Project, Duke City Recovery Toolbox, Heroin Awareness Committee, Desert Gardens, Kids Of The Kingdom, and Family Worship Center
