Bloodyard / Press

“Bloodyard - Lancaster Links: www.reverbnation.com/bloodyard http://www.facebook.com/pages/BloodYard Genre: Death Metal Founded mid - 2010 and last seen at the Lomax 13.10.12 for Hellwave and what a performance they gave! Donna’s vocals or vokills are savage down-right grisly and fantastic for a death metal band! Bloodyard have been compared to Arch Enemy although I may be a bit biased here but I think Bloodyard have the edge! Bloodyard are from Lancaster and I had wanted to see them live for ages but due to not being in the right place at the right time until Hellwave had not managed it but after seeing the band live - without a doubt they delivered the goods and then some! Bloodyard have really ticked all the boxes for brutality, performance and sheer thirst to convey their amazing music to the masses – if not seen live yet – what the hell are you waiting for? If you haven’t, heard them – why not? This is death metal at its best – Get ready for annihilation! 9/10”

“At long last I have finally got to see Bloodyard live! A female fronted death Metal band from Lancaster and I can truly say that it was well worth the wait! The whole band came alive on stage but the maddening thing was when the two stage lights beamed a full intense glare into the crowd and it blinded you so taking photo’s was rather difficult, until Frank (the venue owner) came to the rescue and switched them off, but it was a bit distracting from the otherwise superb set the band executed. Donna is lively and her unique blend of screeches and growls are just ear splitting. There aren’t too many death metal bands around especially fronted by such an amazing female vocalist and I have to say they were all amazing!! Donna does not appear on stage as the average female lead singer would do. Straight down and no nonsense, all natural metal attitude which is what we want to see. Come back soon Bloodyard you will be more than welcome to kick ass again in this neck of the woods. 8½”
