RF7 the VOIDS BLOOD STAINED REALITY VIETNAM HARDCORE $7 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM RF7 is a long-lived, southern California punk rock band that began in 1979 by Felix Alanis and small time child star of the Sheriff John show Nick Lamagna. Felix also began the record label Smoke Seven Records and signed his band and many others who were ignored by the big labels then, such as Redd Kross, Bad Religion, JFA, Crank Shaft, Circle One, Sin 34, Youth Gone Mad, etc. From the beginning, the RF7 sound was not clearly punk but really what would be called today hardcore punk. Felix Alanis has always mixed middle class virtues with strange religious imagery in his lyrics. Nick Lamagna added guitar and music that had a twist more "rock" than some punks preferred. Walt Phelan added a drummer's drumming, and the bass player seemed to always change, with Robert Armstrong perhaps being the most solid recorded bass man from 1980–83, and again on 1990's classic Traditional Values album. On 1982's Fall In album, the band brought in super producer Geza X. The band continues today with their latest release (Addictions and Heartaches) on the Puke and Vomit label, which also re-released Public Service and Sudden Death compilation albums. Their early releases are available on the Grand Theft Audio label, as well as Bomp and Alive records. the VOIDS blend classic Southern Californian old school punk such as: THE AVENGERS, SIN 34, CH3 and a touch of the finer U.K. bands like VICE SQUAD and THE EXPELLED. Fast paced, powerful in your face PUNK rock! Catchier than The Clap and twice as hard to get rid of. The Voids RULE! BLOOD STAINED REALITY formed out of the ashes of the final attempt of a band called Machines Agenda. After Vocalist moved to Oakland the three remaining members decided to keep playing,Erik was a buddy who hung out at the practice studio and consumed lots of PBR and actually decided to put down his beer and pick up the mic during a Black Flag cover and with little hesitation we got together some riffs that never got used along with a new riff or two and decided we would start a new band with Erik on Vox.We named it BSR after one of the last Machines Agenda Songs. .After 7 months of playing with this line up and a diff guitarist we did a small West Coast Tour.In early 08 Plastic Fact Records released the "Nazi Scum Burn In Hell" 7inch. March 2009 EZM Records released our 2nd 7inch "Fuck You Go Die." A few more line up changes later and we're still going.Be on the look out for some splits and comp appearances. As well as our next EP sometime in the future. VIETNAM HARDCORE is a Southern California punk band that started in the summer of 2005. They draw their main influence from 80's Hardcore. It is obvious to audiences that they play with a genuine old school sound that doesn't mimic or copy their favorite bands. There is a consensus amongst their fan base and people just getting into them that they have a very authentic sound. Vietnam Hardcore also likes to play their live shows with an intensity that goes unrivaled. Their stage presence is captivating and entertaining. They often leave crowds in awe and asking them to play more songs. And when the band runs out of songs the audience begs them to play some of their set list over again.
