The seed of change is slowly taking root. On the frontline stands Blitz the Ambassador. This multitalented lyricist/ producer/ film director was born and raised in Ghana. His first encounter with the emerging sounds of Hip-Hop came with KRS Ones “The Bridge is Over”. This early exposure set the tone for what was to become a childhood full of local MC battles, radio appearances and home grown popularity that could only come with the emergence of a young star. Fast forward to Brooklyn New York; immersed in the sights and sounds of Hip-Hops home, Blitz honed his skills lyrically as an MC. Sick of the mundane "assembly-line" nature of Hip-Hop, Blitz crafted a unique sound, taking cues from such artists as Miles Davis, Fela Kuti, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common – Blitz bridges the gap between the soulful sounds of the streets and politics. With Blitz’s new studio album, Suicide Stereotype, he has his mind set on changing the way Hip-Hop approaches live instrumentation, lyrical content and the multimedia experience as a whole. The album features emerging collaborators such as J.Ivy (as heard on Kanye West ‘s College Dropout), Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Rob Murat, indie rock band Mattison and producer Optiks This diverse array of collaborator and creative partners  has produced a genre-bending album that spans from the world of Afro-Hop, Progressive Rock, Jazz fusion and Soul. Hip-Hop has come to a fork in the road the road leads to Blitz the Ambassador.
