“Bill Bennett blew us all away! Who knew that mild mannered wrench man could wail on the guitar like that! Why didn’t we all know that Bill was a sleeper with a voice for the stage? Congratulations to Bill and ‘BLAKE’ for an outstanding show! Your thanks and appreciation is the only pay they get, all money raised went to support the Hill City Senior Center. It just goes to show you that sometimes the answers are right in front of us, just hidden ever so slightly. Thanks go out to Tana Nichols and her crew for the spark that led to this concert event, and Hill City just might have a new annual extravaganza! Sure, there were a few bumps, but the concept was popular and the results impressive. The full report will be made to the City Council and they can decide for themselves if this event should be repeated next year. Call or email your council person through the City of Hill City website: www.hillcitysd.org Mayor Don Voorhees dvoorhees@hillcitysd.org cell (605) 391-6102”
