Big Nixon formed in late 2006; original rock inspired by the
Sex Pistols, Gomez, Soundgarden and Sublime. Armed with a
vague and possibly phallic name, the group charged the New
York Capital Region quickly at shows with the Felice Brothers, the Churchills, and the Sense Offenders as well as the release of a 4-song demo that
grabbed fast airplay on area radio stations. After a year long break so lead singer Andrew Elder could recover from colon cancer, Big Nixon has played such stages as the Freihofer's Run for Women, Larkfest and Metroland's Feedback. In April they released an EP entitled "sixfourfive"
