Bio: Between the Arctic is a new alternative rock band from Albany, New York. Guitarist Zach Ferrara joined forces with bassist Greg Austin, and drummer Mike Hickey in late 2010. “And the winner of Garage to Glory is… If you have not yet heard, Between the Arctic were announced as the thrid annual Garage to Glory musical competition winners. The band received $4,000 in prizes. (Between the Arctic) won the third annual Garage to Glory musical competition Friday in front of a packed house at The College of Saint Rose’s Jack’s Place performance space in Albany. Judges for the third annual Garage to Glory were music industry professionals Michael Corts, CEO and founder of The Avid Agencies, Caroline ‘MotherJudge’ Isachsen, and Mike Spring, musician and director of communications at Voice Coaches Radio. 20 bands entered the competition. For the finals, judges selected four and a reader poll selected the fifth. ”
