Drawing his primary inspiration from the mournful country blues of the Cowboy Junkies, the cosmic Americana of Gram Parsons and the Byrds, the folk-jazz excursions of Tim Buckley and the self recriminating confessions of Leonard Cohen, Ben Mekler is a solo artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

Progress towards his debut EP can only be described as glacial, with sporadic and inconclusive demo sessions yet to coalesce into a completed recording. Thanks as always are passed on to recording engineer known as The Man With A Thousand Names who may or may not have a presence at Reverb/MySpace and Facebook.
