BE MY DOPPELGANGER Wow. This band is really good. From the first song I was hooked. This is a band that is clearly influenced by some older power pop bands but forges their own sound with a unique approach to music. They add sincerity to music that used to be all about frivolity. A real gem is "Evening News", where bassist Bradley Anxiety takes the mic and ends up sounding like a more pop punk version of a younger Chris Conley and leads the band in the resounding chorus of "You're gonna make the evening news!!!". The band would do well to let him sing a little bit more, he has a great voice. - Jon Robinson, Jersey Beat Fanzine THE HAIRLIPS Straight out of Chicago Illinois! The Hairlips! Heavily infuenced by 50’s and 60’s rock, surf, doo wop, and of course the mighty Ramones. This group is bringing the feel of the 50’s and 60’s back to the pop punk scene with powerfull songs that will be sure to make you stomp, twist, and shake the night away. Guys grab your girls, and hold on to your hats because here come the Hairlips! NO ENEMY! If you remember forking over your five bucks to squeeze into a fucked up bowling alley and see bands from hundreds of miles away play for twenty minutes, then No Enemy! might be the band for you. Reminiscent of early Face To Face with nods to The Mushuganas.
Thomas Poole returns to Reno for one night with his drunken shirtless Pop-Punk 'n' Roll outfit, Be My Doppelganger. Miracle Drugs struggle to get it together for one show in the midst of their "hiatus." And, Z-28's spread the proverbial icing on the shit cake. Party on a Wednesday night, fuckers!
