BEHEADING THE KING, RAISE THE GUNS, SQUIRRELLY ARTS & DRAIND FREE SHOW! DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM BEHEADING THE KING was founded in the spring of 2010 from members of former San Diego South Bay Area bands: Legions of Paimon and Necrolepsy. The band has spent the last 3 years playing shows and writing new music while enduring a few line up changes following the release of their 2011 ep, most recently the addition of former Divaricate/Framed Discord drummer Alex Lopez. Beheading the King is definitely one of the most heaviest in your face metal bands to come out of Southern California they continue to write new material for a full length album set for a possible mid to late 2013 release. RAISE THE GUNS is built on a concept of power and action. It is a rebellion against hypocrisy and oppression by way of strength. This Southern California, thrash-based metal band has been slugging it out in bars and clubs from Los Angeles to the Mexican border. On their way they have allied with other like-minded psychopaths in a campaign to wage war against the uninspired and cliché driven brand of metal that has lingered for the past several years in a tired, post-scenester hangover. RAISE THE GUNS combines both melodic and shredding guitar solos with an evil, thunderous rhythm section. The vocals are delivered with raw sincerity, unapologetically taking on topics of freedom, rage, genocide, political corruption, and violent revolution, all set to a crushingly maniacal soundtrack of high-octane metal. Their music embraces all that is heavy and aggressive, drawing from various genres to forge their stripped-down, brutally honest sound. RAISE THE GUNS is more than just an independent band with dreams of world domination. It is a call-to-arms, to all true metalheads around the world. SQUIRRELLY ARTS: Manufactured directly out of the City Of Plastics, Squirrelly Arts formed shortly after the Fem-Fux Rebellion in an effort to proceed in operation "World Enema". The squad consists of: Vikki SexXx (Ex-prototype Fem-Fux bot), ZOMB13 (Gutteral masturbation),Emma-O (canniballistic Japanese doll) , Error (flesh-covered machine), Korpse Dryver (Doll cadaver mutilation). DRAIND: From Thrash to Hardcore to Death, there isnt any limit to Draind's sound with influences from Arch Enemy to As I Lay Dying. Started in January 2006, Draind has progressed year after year refining its sound to what it is today. Starting from humble beginnings playing backyards, to now playing some of San Diego's best venues Draind has made an impact on the scene through hard work and pure motivation. Keeping the DIY attitude Draind has released several demos and EP's through out their career, and even self recorded and produced a full length album last year. With a new EP coming out, Draind has no intentions of letting up; and will continue to bring you unadulterated metal to the masses one riff at a time.
