Bayamo, El Son de Cuba, is a big band of Cuban Son created in 2005 by the Robert A. Paneque Foundation, in order to bring to flamenco the best of traditional Cuban music.
The band was formed following the merger of the quintets Son de Cuba (from Bayamo, MN) and virama (Rio Cauto), both locations of Grannma province, about 800 km east of Havana, Cuba.
