Q: Very nice recording, what did you record with for guitar gear? Your friend, Al
A: Hi Al, merry x-mas from Germany to the US. The rhythm guitar is a Fender US-Standard Strat. The solo guitars are a Les Paul Standard and a Paul Reed Smith Custom. All of the guitars were recorded through the Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 Head through the integrated DI-Red-Box of the amp straight into my MOTU-Traveller and into Cubase, which I use as sequencer. In Cubase I used eq and distortion to add some brightness and finally I added delay, reverb and widened the stereo image during the solo parts to make the guitars sound a little bigger. I hope this helps. In case you have any additional questions do not hesitate to contact me. Keep on rocking. BBB from Germany.
