Springfed Arts and Snowbird Inn are proud to sponsor a Songwriters Concert at the Old Art Building’s W.T.Best Theater. General Admission: $15 Adults / $5 Students. Tickets available online at www.springfed.org or at the door John D. Lamb is preparing to direct his 20th annual Lamb’s Retreat for Songwriters in Harbor Springs this November. To mark this milestone, Lamb is hosting a songwriter showcase at The Old Art Building in Leland, MI on June 26, 7pm. He’ll be featuring regional songwriters who attend his annual conference. Michael Crittenden is well known as the front man of the Grand Rapids band Troll for Trout. His songs can make you cry. Barbara Faith Jordan also led bands in Lansing and Grand Rapids before moving to Traverse City. Her songs are uplifting. Bruce Smith is from Boyne Falls. His songs are funny and clever. As are the songs Harbor Springs native, Kirby. Lamb is pleased to present local Leland talent Sierra Cassidy. She attended his retreat for the first time last November. Her performances at the retreat’s open mic were impressive. Like everyone else at the retreat, Sierra had to write a song in two days from a tailored assignment given to her by Lamb. She knocked it out of the park. The night is sure to be filled with good songs, many of them written at Lamb’s Retreat.
Come Celebrate the Michigan Songwriters Association Anniversary at Horizon. Angela Josephine plays at 8, The Accidentals play at 9 with Rick Buist and Barbara Faith Jordan, and several other amazing singer/songwriters performing throughout the night as well!
Every ticket will come with a voucher for a $5 copy of Passages.
