"Still going since the early Sixties, TOOTS AND THE MAYTALS are credited with the first use of the word reggae in a song 'Do the Reggay'. They are responsible for anthems such as 'Monkey Man' (famously covered by THE SPECIALS), 'Pressure Drop' and 54-46 Was My Number'.
Supported by the warm and vibrant tones of Sheffields own DUBCENTRAL DJs and a fresh and charmingly daring performance from local ska collective BANANA FLAVOURED DUBCATS, The MAYTALS eventually took to the stage to nothing less than a roar."

We have just been in the studio today and written some belting new songs. I think two of them will be ready for our next gig and another is going to need some more work due to its more complext nature. All good.
