“Second band on and eventual winners, Badland Bandits were a very high-energy outfit who provided a classic rock sound, which could have come straight from 1980s. The audience clearly loved this and they wowed with a lesson in rock theatre with air punching, a guitar solo behind the head and shouts of "make some noise" to which the audience responded enthusiastically. Each band member demonstrated a mastery of rock techniques, particularly the guitarist with his quick and complex style. Over all it was hard to fault the band's performance and they emerged as eventual winners because they brought big tunes, fun and first-class showmanship. ”
