“The Return of Back From Ashes After announcing in April that Billy “Zane” Muna (formerly of Embers Rise) would be stepping into the role of front-man in Arizona’s Back From Ashes, die hard Back From Ashes fans have been itching to see him in action with vet members Mike Butikofer, Bobby Blades, David Digilio and Anthony DeJesus. The waiting ended last night as Back From Ashes hit their home stage at Joe’s Grotto in Phoenix. Without even a release of a single with Muna on vocals, fans came from across state lines to be a part of the masses that stormed the stage when the music started. Muna immediately captured the fans with his intro performance of “Point of No Return” which clearly delivered a message to the fans that this is the new chapter for the band and their quest with future stage domination is on the horizon. Muna’s history of a strong delivery with heavy vocals were a definitely switch from the history of Back From Ashes melodic tones with metal hooks. Aft”

Trying to discern the genre can dampen the excitement because this group has such a vast influence yet managed to create a potent mix of genres that have aggressive, energetic sounds. “Back From Ashes write the kind of songs that add ounces to your gas pedal foot and cranks your car stereo volume up without your permission because I sure don’t remember doing it. In all fairness to the consumer they should include a coupon for a radar detector or something with the CD. Phoenix’s Back From Ashes are a rockin metal band with an excellent self titled disk that was produced by Ryan Greene and that has gained the attention of many fans and critics as well. With several award wins in Arizona and California they are prepping for hitting the road in 2011 to spread the word on BFA. I spoke with Jason the vocalist of Back From Ashes. “ What can I possibly say about Back From Ashes that most likely hasn’t been said before or that can possibly do these guys any kind of justice. Let’s start by saying that Back From Ashes is truly an amazing band. Not only with their music, but their stage performance is bar none and their attitude is one that simply makes you want to be around these guys. You know how when you hear a bands CD, there is usually at least one song that you really don’t like and will not listen to; this is not the case with Back From Ashes. be sure to have some tissue because you’ll get a bloody nose. The music is extremely tight together and the vocals are awesome. Listen to it and you will know exactly what I am talking about. If you have not yet checked out Back From Ashes, you are truly missing out on some great music. My suggestion to you; get off your butts and listen to these guys because they are simply amazing. ”

“Back From Ashes is an Arizona based metal act that pleasantly surprised this writer. Hell, even my 1 year old likes them. You’ll dig on these guys”

“Modern rock has been given a major kick in the ass in the form of Back From Ashes. Hailing from Phoenix, it is a hard existence but they have persevered to deliver what will go down as a monumental Indy CD from a monumental band.”
