Bio
AVITIA, whose current rampage across the American landscape is nearing its first year, continues to wow audiences with their electric live show and their wide array of musical influences. Heavy and graceful. Fast and rythmic. Groove-laden and deliberate. AVITIA's current schedule for '09 lists tours across California, Texas, Louisiana, D.C. and a much anticipated performance at the South By Southwest Music Conference in March. New album, "You Are When You Do" due out in July.
About
Solid and more intense than a captivating natural event, AVITIA is poised to inject an endorphin-based listening experience into the ears of the world. The five members combine adrenaline-induced punk rock, groove-space jams, and powerful melodies. Based in San Diego, CA, the band has performed to multitudes of roaring fans, in many of rock and roll's hallowed landmarks: The Whisky A Go Go, The Viper Room, The Derby, and the House of Blues just to name a few. AVITIA was also invited to perform with Cypress Hill and Slash at the first ever Sunset Strip Music Festival this past summer. "The third full length release "You Are When You Do" is set to be released in summer of 2009, with coast to coast touring to follow.
