Austin Lounge Lizards Presented by: Performing Arts Fort Worth Performance to be held at McDavid Studio Information: Based in Austin, the Austin Lounge Lizards have delighted audiences from California to Canada to the United Kingdom with their original style of satirical folk, country and bluegrass. Trademarks of a Lizards song: Highly literate, sharply pointed lyrics that poke fun at politics, love, religion and culture in general. Combinations of precise four-part vocal harmonies and instrumental mastery, the band's songs are melodically infectious and inventive. From the mouths of Lizards: We've really enjoyed our annual gigs here, and are thrilled to be back. Yesterday (Jan 29th), we finished our final mixes of our new CD, entitled "Home and Deranged." We went straight on to the next phase, which is mastering. (Our musically inclined geek pals may appreciate this). We finished TODAY! "Home and Deranged" is a collection of twelve new songs, ten of which we wrote and other two we thought were the perfect fit. It'd take a might whimsical musicologist to classify it all as bluegrass, but we'll call it that until we come up with something better! The CD won't be available until April, but we wil perform the material at the show. We hope you can join us this Friday night!
