“Track 8- Egomaniacs. The title of this one basically explains the song. Egomaniacs walking round like little brats. A strong pop feel to this one. Another direction of Audrey's musical interest and influence which makes her music appeal to all types of musical tastes. Track 9- Beat of my Heart. Blends and fits perfectly with side two of Super Ego. A quick Audrey-esque view of life, love and what it can deal to you and take away from you. ”
“Track 6- Tonight. Hazy, laid back, dreamy out there type feel with once again great lyrics. One of those songs that could go on and on and never really need an ending. Like taking a long country drive in a car with someone you love and not really caring or knowing where you are going. Listen to it a few times and you will just say, yes, it works. Close your eyes and drift away. Track 7- Average Joe, This one was inspired by her former guitarist, Joe Wood, who was killed in a car crash just two years ago. It fits perfectly behind track 6, Tonight. Another song that Audrey performs extremely well live and you can really see and hear the passion and emotion in her voice and eyes as she sings and plays this one. Another song that is very well put together with great lyrics. Let me say once again, great lyrics!! ”
“Track 5- The Roosevelt Hotel. One of the best an strongest cuts on the album. If you have ever visited the Roosevelt Hotel, on Hollywood Boulevard in California, then you can really get a feel for what this song is about. Written about a roommate of Audrey's in college, who she says wanted to be famous for basically nothing, this song describes a girl that loves partying, nice cars, luxury and basically just staying blasted. Nothing wrong with that. Or is there? Another song that can stand on its own with great lyrics, very well put together and you just will not get tired of hearing it. I was lucky enough to hear this one live the first time that I saw Audrey perform. Hearing this one live is even better that the studio version as are many of Audrey's songs. I just can't say enough about this one. I can see hearing this many years from now and it still being as strong and as fresh as the first time I heard it. ”
“Track 1-Blue Suede Love. A song that sets the emotion for the entire album with a chorus that stays with you and one that practically everyone can relate to, "If it ain't love then it ain't Rock n' Roll." A song with a feel good vibe that is straight and to the point. The lyrics of Blue Suede Love are detailed, honest and simple all at the same time. The perfect song to open up the album and it gives a strong impression of what Audrey's music is all about. Track 2- Lady Rokukuji. "You might get this song if you listen just right" Audrey says midway through this one. Another song that grabs you right from the first word and will quickly bring a smile to you. Especially when you think you have figured it out. Track 3- 007 As you can guess, if you are a fan of James Bond, this song has a eerie mystical feel to it. One Audrey says she wrote one night when she was bored, Once again the lyrics in this one really add to the song. ”
“I just by chance happened to catch Audrey playing Bravo in West Little Rock in Mid July. Knowing nothing about her or her music I was very impressed. Her talent level and attitude are far enough out there where you will think that you are getting what she is trying to get across but you will want to hear more just to be sure. She does throw in the occasional cover song but her originals stand solid on their own and will leave you asking yourself, "That is a great song, I wonder who wrote that? "Why have we not heard this before?" Her music will keep your attention. Period. She plays on a regular basis locally and has recently played in Dallas, Nashville, and Los Angeles.”
"Audrey's music can be descibed in one word, fresh! Something that has been missing in today's music for a very long time. It reaches all directions and once you have heard Audrey Dean Kelley live you will definately want to hear more." "She is a rare talent that will continue to develop musically in the years to come"
“If it ain't love then it ain't rock n' roll. Audrey Dean Kelley may describe herself as an average joe but the music that she produces greatly exceeds average!! Audrey's music can be described in one word, Fresh!! Something that has been missing in today's music for a very long time. It reaches in all directions and once you have heard Audrey play live you will want to hear more. She is a seemingly down to earth woman but she can be scattered all over the place and focused at the same time which is part of what makes her music stand out in today's overflowing cesspool of unlistenable music. Her live performances and her onstage attitude (especially when she is playing her original songs) is second to none. Audrey believe in what she is doing, which is obvious during her live shows, and it is very easy to see the passion and the enjoyment she has when she performs the music that she has written.”
“Track 10- Cold Hard Bitch. Attitude. Attitude. Attitude!! This one hits on all four points that I mentioned above. The song is arranged perfectly, the lyrics are right on target in each verse and the chorus really rounds out the song!! The slow, mellow, swaying break midway through the track really pulls it together even tighter. Hearing Audrey perform this one live really brings out the attitude and emotion of the song. It won't take most people long to get the message of this one!! You will be hearing a lot more original music from Audrey. She is a rare talent that will continue to develop musically in the years to come. In the meantime you need to get yourself out, grab a copy of her SuperEgo cd and catch her live shows. You will be glad that you did. Other shows to be scheduled will be listed on her Facebook page and at Reverbnation.com/AudreyDeanKelley.”
