Assault was formed in June 2006 by vocalist Clarence Chong, and was joined later by guitarist Hanesh and bassist Syaz, And Drummer Noh who joined the band in 2010, With the new additional members "Yuda"who joined the band in July 2011, Assault is currently a Five-Piece Melodic Death Metal Act. “One thing that did stick out for me though – there are certain harmonies throughout the EP where it sounds like either one or both of the guitars are just off key enough to be glaringly noticeable. It’s not a constant, but when you hear it, you definitely hear it. It may be an artistic choice, but it’s one that may divide listeners. Beyond that, THE EXCEPTIONS OF REBELLION is a 16-minute diversion that’s pretty good. Assault’s already working on a full length follow up, so consider the EP as a teaser of things to come.”
